Eve Davies, PacifiCorp’s hydroelectric environmental lead for Utah, will provide a tour of the historic Stairs facilities and discuss the environmental regulations associated with managing hydroelectric facilities under a Federal Energy Regulatory Commission license. Ms. Davies will also be speaking about PacifiCorp’s hydroelectric projects, and the role they play in the Energy Imbalance Market and PacifiCorp’s renewable energy goals.
The tour will be for outside facilities only and will not include entry into the power plant, so no personal protective equipment is required. The presentation will take place at 6:00-6:30pm. A relaxing barbecue dinner, drinks, and lawn games will be provided in the picnic area for the remainder of the evening.
The event is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about WEN as well as all of our members.
