Speaker: AJ Akaydin, Chief Financial Officer, Sammons Infrastructure

Speaker Bio:

AJ Akaydin is the Chief Financial Officer of Sammons Infrastructure, a Dallas-based holding company, which owns and manages renewable energy, energy storage, mitigation banking, and other infrastructure investments in North America. Akaydin has more than 15 years of experience in corporate finance and investment banking with a focus on power and energy industries. Prior to joining Sammons Infrastructure in 2017, Akaydin served in various financial leadership positions at Vistra Energy Corp. (NYSE: VST), an independent power producer and retail electric provider, and Murchison Oil & Gas, Inc., a privately-held exploration and production company with operations in the Permian Basin of Texas and New Mexico. Akaydin spent the first 8 years of her career in the investment banking industry, 5 years at Citigroup’s New York and London offices, and 3 years at the Dallas offices of Houlihan Lokey, a global investment bank. Akaydin’s transactional and management experience spans across various segments of the power and energy industries including upstream oil & gas, pipelines, refineries, conventional and renewable power generation, transmission, and energy storage.

Akaydin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Bogazici University at Istanbul, a Master of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas, and a Master of Engineering degree in Operations Research from Cornell University where she was a Fulbright scholar. Akaydin is a CFA charterholder.
