Speaker Bios:

Mr. Trent Lee is the Managing Director for the Gulf Coast Area for Schlumberger. His responsibility covers business operations in the Eagle Ford and Haynesville regions. Trent has been with the company 28 years, serving in managerial roles for sales, business development, field services, operations, and integration across a number of product lines; as well as Vice President roles for the Testing, Coiled Tubing, Artificial Lift businesses in North America Land. Trent holds a bachelor degree from McNeese State University in Lake Charles. He has been a passionate supporter of the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for more than 25 years.

Dr. Ramanan Krishnamoorti is the chief energy officer at the University of Houston. Prior to his current position, Krishnamoorti served as interim vice president for research and technology transfer for UH and the UHSystem. During his tenure at the university, he has served as chair of the UH Cullen College of Engineering’s chemical and biomolecular engineering department, associate dean of research for engineering, professor of chemical and biomolecular engineering with affiliated appointments as professor of petroleum engineering and professor of chemistry.

His roots in East Texas mean the Haynesville Shale is close to home. By design or maybe happenstance, he has been at the forefront of almost every shale story. He is a recognized thought leader and is a contributor to many US and macro-market publications at Wood Mackenzie.

Mr. Abbott is responsible for Marathon Oil’s Permian and Eagle Ford businesses, as well as the Land and Commercial Services organization. He joined Marathon Oil in February 2018. Mr. Abbott most recently served as Vice President – Permian Infrastructure Development and Operations for Pioneer Natural Resources. Prior to that, he held a range of leadership roles at Pioneer, including Vice President, Finance and Treasurer; Vice President - Permian Operations; President of the Alaska division; and Vice President - Corporate Finance. Mr. Abbott holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University. He is chairman of the Advisory Board for the Materials Science and Engineering Department at Texas A&M.
